After receiving his Masters of Science in Administration, Barry embarked on a career in purchasing and operations management. He currently has over fifteen years work experience in this feild. Barry is also a highly regarded educator and is a faculty member at the John Molson School of Business in Montreal where he has taught for over 10 years.

As a member of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada, Barry has served on the executive of the West Island (Montreal) Chapter and received the highest score in Canada when he earned his C.P.P.

Currently, Barry is the Director of Purchasing for an industrial distributor with locations in Quebec and Ontario. He has experience in many functional areas of organizations and has been employed by and consulted for several companies from small start-ups to the Fortune 500.

Barry has a blog titled The Professional Customer (http://barrykaufman-theprofessionalcustomer.blogspot.com/) where he expresses his view on customer service and strategy from the customer perspective. 

When not spending time with his family, Barry is a runner and regularly runs in races from 5K’s to Marathons.
