After working as both a senior corporate buyer and a manufacturing buyer for 11 years, Brenda became a Coporate Commodity Buyer for Revera Inc and Long Manufacturing (a unit of Dana Corporation) for seven years. While in this position as a buyer for Reverera, Brenda successfully reduced the supplier base by 20%. She also contributed to a $270,000 cost savings in one year by standardizing and streamlining the photocopier purchase process for 200+ homes with one qualified single supplier. She was also awarded standard computer purchases to one qualified single supplier eliminating one non-value position in purchasing and increased service to the field. Brenda also increased the efficiency in the process which resulted in speeding up the procurement process. She has a Business Administration Diploma, from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) from PMAC.
