Gordon Hoy, P.Log, QCB, LSSGB, is a trusted senior supply chain & logistics strategist and change agent with 20+ years’ leadership experience.  Mr. Hoy’s core areas of expertise include International Trade Management, Implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution Strategies, Contracts Negotiation, Budget Forecasting & Administration, Process Change & Improvement, and Performance Measurement & Auditing.

Gordon is presently an independent Supply Chain Consultant serving clients that’s focused on the continuous improvement of cost reduction, quality, on-time delivery, risk management and business transformation projects.

Mr. Hoy’s perspective extends beyond supply chain & logistics, to how these disciplines add value to strategic business planning, new business development, and product life cycle/customer relationship management.  With Daily Bread Food Bank, Mr. Hoy implemented a warehouse management system to provide greater inventory visibility, food traceability and metrics reporting.  This ensured all orders and deliveries to member agencies and alliance partners located in Toronto, provincially and nationally, were performed according to time, safety, efficiency, and accuracy standards.

Mr Hoy’s prior professional roles were with Nilfisk-Advance Canada as Facilities Operations Manager, and SMTC Manufacturing Corporation as Director of Global Logistics.  At SMTC, he developed the logistics team and processes to support the company’s international growth plans from US$100M to US$850M in sales revenue between 1996 and 2004.  Gordon has also held progressive roles in the areas of customs administration, freight forwarding, plus logistics and commodity tax consulting.

Gordon has a strong track record of delivering value for smart companies, including: Daily Bread Food Bank, SMTC Manufacturing Corporation, IBM, DELL, Motorola, Zenith, Compaq Canada, Merisel Canada, Magna International, Northern Telecom, Baxter Healthcare, and Blaiklock Inc.

He studied Physical Distribution at George Brown College, after earning a Diploma in Customs Administration at Fleming College.  He is a Qualified Customs Broker (QCB) and Professional Logistician (P.Log).  He also has Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University.  Gordon looks forward to attaining his professional designations in Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and improving his Mandarin language skills.

Gordon is presently a volunteer to the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council (CSCSC) and the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation and has been a past Advisor to the Customs Administration Program Committee at Fleming College and Member of the Western New York International Trade Council.
