Resumes: 3 key areas that leave critical questions unanswered

1. WDTM: What does this mean?

Use on vague terms or accomplishments such as: "I was responsible for interviewing, hiring and training all new staff members." Questions should be answered "how many, how often and how effective".
2. DEFINE: Can you please define this in an outsider's terms?

"I developed and implemented a 12 week supervisory training program."

Use on unknown or technical terms such as: "I coordinated the implementation of the corporate orientation program."
3. F/T: From what (or when) to what (or when)?

"I developed the key margin indicator software program to determine profitability of product lines."

Clarifies date ranges or percentage increases or decreases.
"I increased sales by 150% within my territory."
"I was the operations manager from 2010‑2012."
"I decreased costs by 10% within 18 months."
When I read a resume I want to know a lot more than what you did. I want to know how well you did it.
